We are recruiting for a Senior Community Park and Play
Ranger to join our Parks & Open Spaces Team.

or other frontline community services, we would love to hear from you.
In this role, you will:
• Supervise Community Park Rangers and Play Leaders,
including rota coordination and ensuring planned activities are delivered to a
high standard.
• Lead the delivery of play sessions, community activities and small‑scale
events across parks and Adventure Play sites.
• Patrol parks and carry out inspections, addressing safety issues, supporting
maintenance, and promoting positive behaviour in line with byelaws.
• Work closely with partners, including Police teams, Youth Services, community
groups and volunteers, to support safe, active and inclusive parks.
The role requires working either Saturday or Sunday every weekend (dependent on Service needs). Weekend enhancement will be provided.
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
• Experience working in parks, open spaces or a comparable
frontline service, with the ability to carry out routine inspections and basic
maintenance.
• Experience developing and delivering play or community activities for
children and families in public spaces.
• Knowledge of health & safety, safeguarding, play provision and customer
care, including understanding issues impacting children, young people and
vulnerable adults.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work
effectively across diverse communities and with a wide range of partners.
This role requires a full Uk valid driving licence.
