  • About The Role

  • Mobile Team Operative (x8) – Estate Services

    We are recruiting 8 Mobile Team Operatives to join our Estate Services Team within the Housing & Regeneration Directorate.

    If you are comfortable working on site and want to contribute to keeping estates clean, safe and well maintained, we would like to hear from you.

    This is a hands-on role across multiple locations, suited to someone reliable, motivated and ready to get stuck in.

    In this role, you will:

    • Remove bulky waste and fly-tipped items from estates, helping to keep communal areas clean and safe.
    • Handle different types of waste safely, including items that need extra care or specialist disposal.
    • Drive council vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and use equipment safely to carry out your work.
    • Work as part of a mobile team covering different locations, responding to service needs across the borough.
    • Support general estate cleaning duties and assist with a range of tasks depending on service needs, including seasonal work.
    • Work in a professional and respectful way with residents, colleagues and other teams.

    About You

    We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

    • Experience of working outdoors in a manual or physically demanding role.
    • Ability to carry out manual handling and use tools and equipment safely.
    • Understanding of estate cleaning, waste removal or similar operational work.
    • Awareness of health and safety and safe working practices.
    • A full UK Category B driving licence, with confidence driving vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
    • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
    • A reliable, positive approach and willingness to learn.
    • Ability to work flexibly across locations and in all weather conditions.

    A Basic DBS check is required for this role.
